'In-betweeners' star Joe Thomas joined a host of special guests on stage at Eden Court for the second FilmG Awards. Joe presented the award for Best Drama/Comedy to Ewan Smith for 'Cnap-starra Cànain'. Ewan also scooped the award for Best Director (Industry). Winning Best Performance was Liz Piper with An Latha a Fhuair Gàidhlig Greim air an t-Saoghal. Ardnamurchan High School won Best Film in the Young People's category for 'An Texan a' Tilleadh Dhachaigh'. Islay High School's 'An Tùr' won the People's Choice by public vote. BBC ALBA's Fiona MacKenzie and Calum 'Caxy' Macauley swapped the screen for the stage once more to host an evening packed with excitement and anticipation. The audience welcomed 'na gaisgich' of Gaelic television, including actor David Walker, director Robbie Fraser, Emma and Anndra from Rapal and presenter Moira MacDonald. Uisdean Murray returned after a year of success with his FilmG winning short 'Siubhlachan' to offer encouragement to up-coming film makers.
